Sheriffs Department needs our help!

Our Sheriff’s department does an outstanding job of reducing many crimes – we reward the Sheriff’s Department by reducing one Deputy Sergeant - (replaced by part time Sergeant) see staffing levels paid for by the Town of Lake Park 2007 Vs. 2008.

In the past eight months: 6 shootings – (3 deaths, 6 wounded)

(Marys place - Park Ave. 1 killed (Sheldon Dantzler) one wounded June 8, 2008)
(Lake Park Towing 1 killed 2 wounded OCT 22, 2009)
(Fresnel Atilus 1 killed DEC 3, 2008)
(Walmart shop lifting suspect 1 wounded JAN 20, 2009)
(BP Gas station 1 wounded Jan 15, 2009)
(Foresteria Drive Drive by shooting 1 wounded FEB 4, 2009).

* 1 attack on Law enforcement (suspect who attacked girlfriend - then deputies Jan 7, 2009) "A Lake Park man choked his pregnant live-in girlfriend, then fought Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies and snatched away one deputy's stun gun, authorities said."
